When is this the right solution?

When the business has outgrown how it's being run.

What I do

I look at how your business actually works now; how people find you, what you're saying, how they buy, and what happens after that. Then I work out what needs to change so it stops relying on you.

  • –looking at your website, customer journey and systems together
  • –working out what's slowing things down
  • –defining priorities and next steps
  • –giving you direction over the year, not just a one-off plan
  • –quarterly check-ins so the plan keeps moving
  • –direct access when something needs a steer

I'm not looking for more to add. I'm working out what shouldn't be there as much as what should.

How this work fits

Some businesses come in needing clarity on the whole picture. Others already know what they want built and need someone to do it.

Review is where we work out what the business actually needs, before deciding what to rebuild. The work that follows (websites, systems, custom tools) gets scoped from there.

A few examples of how this shows up in real projects:

The strategy work that happens before anything gets built.

Chetham Farm: building the foundations behind the business

A venue that was growing but had nothing holding it together behind the scenes. I looked at how enquiries were coming in, where bookings were being lost, and how payments were being managed, then mapped out exactly what needed to change before anything was built. What came out of it was a booking system and website designed around the way the business actually operates.

Optical Studio: rebuilding in the right order

The website no longer reflected how this practice actually ran. Before touching it, I looked at the whole picture: how patients find them, how appointments get booked, and what happens operationally behind the scenes. We worked out what needed changing and in what order. The website came last, and part of that process was stripping out the ecommerce element, which wasn't generating enough return to justify the complexity. We started with client records and payments, making sure that where credit was extended it was properly tracked and collected automatically, so the business had solid ground before anything visible was rebuilt.

Therapy practice: getting the workflow right first

A practice running on manual processes and tools that weren't talking to each other. Before anything was built, I traced the full workflow from first referral through to invoice, mapping where things were falling through the gaps and what needed to be in place to fix it. Having that clarity meant the build was straightforward and the result actually held together.

What happens next

We'll talk through where the business is now, what's getting in the way, and whether this is the right fit.
